School Facilities - A Great Place to Learn

Primary School

Our Primary campus opened in September 2015. The school is a 4 FE school with designated areas for each year group.

The school has a library which has a suite of ICT facilities and a technology room equipped with ovens to allow children to enjoy learning about food and cookery. The school is centred on an inner courtyard which provides space for children to play, including a large covered area. There is an all-weather pitch on the roof and Reception and Year 1 children have their own exclusive play areas, well-resourced to allow for creative outside learning. There is also a roof top outside classroom next to the library.

Secondary School

We have a lecture theatre, two drama studios, a sports hall, a gym and a 3G all-weather pitch. We have an outdoor classroom and our grounds are adapted to support students with physical disabilities.

In our Sixth Form, we have a study area, a common room, newly built university Science laboratories and our @spires Hub, which provides another independent study suite for students, including mentoring and tutoring rooms to help provide the support, guidance and small group tuition which is a key feature of Sixth Form study and which helps prepare students for university.  

We have extensive ICT provision with five ICT suites, high speed WiFi access in all parts of the school.  All classrooms are fitted with data projectors and/or interactive whiteboards.

Our buildings and grounds are maintained to the highest level. All of this helps provide a safe and stimulating environment for young people to learn and enjoy their school experience and helps to reflect our cultural richness and diversity.

Our Ecology Garden and allotment are centres for our work on sustainable development. We have a fabulous outdoor gym whch is well used by our students. We are currently creating another quad, called the sPace, whoch will be a quiet area for students and staff to use as a recreational space or as an outdoor learning space.
The restaurant provides an attractive dining and social area and the school environment is greatly enhanced by a range of sculptures and art work.
