Meet the Team

Kth meet the teamKrishna Thaker - Associate Assistant Headteacher and Seven Kings Learning Partnership Early Career Framework Lead

I am currently the ECF Coordinator for the Seven Kings Learning Partnership and lead on writing and shaping the ECF programme for our Partnership and will be supporting schools to implement this.

I also lead the planning and delivery of leadership programmes for new leaders and for leaders aspiring to SLT. I have 18 years of experience teaching Science and have been Head of Department of a large department here at Seven Kings before joining SLT.  I have a vast knowledge of curriculum development in science and have developed teachers at all levels within my team.  In my role as Lead practitioner of Science I have supported the department to develop their KS5 pedagogy which has positively impacted outcomes.  Through the Partnership I have supported other schools with improving learning and teaching in Science and worked with leaders on their development, vision and impact.c

Schools working together to design and deliver high quality, responsive CPD is something I am very passionate about; collaborating with our Partner schools in the delivery of professional learning has given the programmes rich and diverse content. Through the ECF I hope to continue this work further to inspire the next generation of practitioners.

Named Person for London Borough of Redbridge ECF Induction

I have recently been appointed as the Named Person for Redbridge to begin in September and I am excited to be working on the introduction of the Early Career Framework with the Seven Kings Learning Partnership  for September.

I am currently the ITT Coordinator for the Seven Kings Learning Partnership and am responsible for coordinating  the Teaching School ITT programme, both for recruiting School Direct Trainees and informing schools of funding  streams attached to this. I also lead on the Partnership programme for supporting and developing ITT practice for  trainees which runs alongside the work I do leading on managing the PGCE students’ programme within Seven  Kings itself. I have 15 years of experience in ITT and with NQTs working with both primary and secondary  schools and I have worked with various institutions across London including the IOE, UCL, Kings College UEL  amongst others. I have developed, and annually run, mentor training sessions for teachers supporting both NQTs  and ITT trainees.

I avidly believe in school collaboration and as part of this I have introduced two highly successful Cross Alliance  NQT Programmes for both Primary and Secondary NQTs which regularly have more than 40 NQTs taking part  on a yearly basis. I have also introduced a successful Cross Alliance ITT programme with each phase regularly supporting over 40 trainees.

I am an SLE and have successfully supported Mathematics departments across several boroughs with their  learning and teaching, leadership and in supporting staff to improve their practice, as well as running the THEP  Maths Hub.
